QA Automation Analyst - Remote
In the market since 2013, the Canadian company, headquartered in Vancouver, seeks solutions for medium and large companies that want to build a culture of customer recognition.
We’re looking for a highly skilled and motivated QA Automation Analyst (Contractor) to help us maximize the quality, reliability, and performance of our application across iOS, Android, and web platforms. You’ll be building robust test frameworks, automating test suites, and working closely with cross-functional teams to enable continuous testing and rapid releases. You’ll be a key partner in the development lifecycle, working closely with engineers, product managers, and designers to ensure quality is built into our product from the ground up.
Skills
- At least 2 years’ experience in mobile and web QA automation, specifically focused on native or hybrid applications.
- Strong experience with automation frameworks such as Maestro, UIAutomator, XCUITest or equivalent.
- Programming experience in TypeScript; experience authoring YAML-based test definitions.
- Experience with Cypress for Web application testing.
- Cross-platform or end-to-end validation involving mobile and web workflows.
- Skills with test version control tools like Git, and build tools like Maven or Gradle.
- Proven record integrating automated tests into CI/CD workflows.
- Solid understanding of mobile and web application lifecycle, testing methodologies, and QA best practices.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and ability to convey technical concepts clearly.

Responsabilidades
- Automation Design & Development
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable, reliable automation frameworks across mobile (iOS & Android) and web platforms.
- Develop mobile automated test scripts using YAML based test definitions, leveraging frameworks such as Maestro, XCUITest, and UIAutomator.
- Develop web automated test scripts using Cypress with TypeScript for web applications.
- Ensure automation supports key functional areas: UI, end-to-end, regression, smoke, and integration tests.
- CI/CD & Pipeline Integration
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (Bitbucket) for continuous validation.
- Manual & Exploratory Testing
- Perform manual testing as required for areas not yet automated or for complex scenarios that require exploratory analysis.
- Execute regression and performance checks to ensure ongoing app stability.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Participate in Agile ceremonies (stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives).
- Proactively communicate quality risks, test coverage gaps, and automation insights to Product and Engineering teams.
- Defect Reporting & Metrics
- Identify, report, track, and verify defects using Jira.
- Produce clear test reports, including test coverage, quality metrics, and recommendations for improvement.
- Test Environment Management
- Utilize emulators/simulators and real devices across OS versions and screen sizes.
Diferenciais
- Familiarity with API testing tools and practices such as Postman or REST Assured.
- Experience testing hybrid or cross-platform apps (React Native).
- Exposure to performance or security testing.
- ISTQB or other QA certifications.
- Experience in Agile/Scrum development environments.
